At the Care and Social Services Administration, we are currently approximately 1,400 employees who, with our combined knowledge and professional experience, provide care and healthcare to Alingsås residents in their homes or at our facilities. Bjärkegården elderly care home is located in Sollebrunn and is a residence for both people with dementia and individuals with physical disabilities. The facility consists of seven units with 66 residential places. Around Bjärkegården there are several pleasant outdoor areas and green spaces. In one of the outdoor areas, we have chickens that roam freely during the summer, which is a valued feature. One of our units also has a house cat.

WORK DUTIES
Working as a nursing assistant with us involves supporting our clients in their daily lives by providing good individual care based on their needs. Our goal is to create a meaningful everyday life for each person living with us. You will primarily work to provide good care, service, and social interaction, but documentation and reporting in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines are also part of the assignment. The role also includes delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.
As a nursing assistant, you are flexible and responsible, as your workdays involve everything from personal care, administering medication, to sitting down and having a conversation with someone who needs it. You also participate in welcome meetings, establish and continuously update care plans, maintain contact with relatives, and document according to applicable legislation in our digital systems.
You will work scheduled shifts during day, evening, and weekends, and you have the opportunity to be involved in planning your schedule. Coordinated planning between the units at Bjärkegården is a matter of course in accordance with Alingsås municipality's staffing strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
• are a trained nursing assistant with protected professional title
• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• live in the local area or have access to a car or equivalent, as public transport to Sollebrunn is limited
Previous experience in elderly care is a merit.
You work with the client in focus and have a secure and professional approach. You take responsibility for your tasks, plan and prioritize your work in a structured manner, and work independently when needed. At the same time, you have good cooperation skills and contribute to a good working environment by sharing your knowledge and supporting your colleagues.
