What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?
A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in different situations. Together in the team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.
We are looking for you with a genuine interest in the elderly person. Your main tasks are to provide safe and secure personal care and support. You support residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good quality care in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the care plan.
This includes, among other things:
Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept Your Day.
Personal care and support and utilizing residents' own resources.
Work based on Norlandia's concept A Tasty Meal so that our residents enjoy their food and mealtime experiences add a special touch to their everyday life.
Documentation in accordance with the Social Services Act; maintaining social records and creating and following up on care plans.
Planning, offering, and implementing daily activities, outdoor time, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
Performing service tasks such as cleaning apartments, laundry, accompaniment, shopping, and more.
Receiving and carrying out delegated tasks such as medication delegation.
Taking responsibility in ombudsman roles.
Actively participating in the facility's quality and improvement work.
About Karl Nordström's Way Residential Care Home
Karl Nordström's Way Residential Care Home in Varberg is operated by Norlandia on behalf of Varberg Municipality. The home offers a safe and homely environment where the focus is on individualized care, well-being, food, health, and community.
The elderly home has 51 apartments distributed across four buildings, of which 24 places are adapted for people with dementia. There are common areas for meals, social gatherings, and activities, as well as outdoor spaces that encourage outdoor time and walks. The home provides 24-hour care and support with the help of care staff, nurses, an occupational therapist, and a physiotherapist.

You must have proof of the right to use the professional title nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
It is meritorious if you have previous experience in care and support.
You need good knowledge of documentation.
You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
We would like you to have good computer skills/experience.
We want you to be familiar with the national quality registers relevant to the operations.
Other information
Employment type: We offer both temporary positions and probationary employment.
Scope: Part-time, by agreement.
Start date: By agreement.
For probationary employment: we apply a 6-month probationary period.
We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a potential employment, you must be able to provide an excerpt from the criminal record register. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by providing EU/EES citizenship or a valid work permit.
