Residents in Jämtland County who need specialist psychiatric care receive treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatry department at Östersund Hospital. The department's employees have a great responsibility in developing and improving care in collaboration with the department's management. Psychiatry Department at Östersund Hospital offers specialist psychiatric care to residents in Jämtland County. Care is provided in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and approximately 270 employees work within the department. With us, there is a strong commitment to developing and improving care for our patients together. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for Unit 4B. Unit 4B is a general psychiatry inpatient care unit for adults with 14 regular care beds and the possibility of one overflow bed. We primarily care for patients with affective disorders, anxiety conditions, and substance abuse issues, but other psychiatric diagnoses also occur. The unit's team includes senior physicians, junior physicians, nurses, caregivers/nursing assistants, and a social worker. When needed, we also collaborate with psychologists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Together we work to create a safe, secure, and respectful care environment for both patients and employees. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a nursing assistant on Unit 4B, you work close to patients and are an important part of their care and recovery. Job duties include: provide support with patients' daily life and personal care create safety and structure during the care period support patients in social contacts and activities observe patients' condition and provide important information to the care team participate in planning, implementing, and following up on patient care work preventively and contribute to a safe care environment together with other employees, develop working methods and improve the quality of care. Work occurs in close collaboration with nurses, physicians, social workers, and other professionals. We also have close collaboration with our outpatient psychiatry services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Experience working in psychiatry or other areas of healthcare is a merit.
