Ward M67 We are seeking a nursing assistant for ward M67 within the acute psychiatric sector, Psychiatry Sydväst. The ward has a strong care focus with activation, calming strategies, conversations and recovery-oriented work. We base our approach on person-centered care with high patient participation. We develop around-the-clock care with good treatment and evidence-based care, and offer training according to our Braining concept for increased physical activity. The ward works according to Safewards for increased safety and security. We have a "self-selected admission slot" where patients can plan their own admission. The nurse has a central role in admission and discharge, with training and delegation in suicide risk assessment. Read their answers here: 10 reasons to work at Psychiatry Sydväst Duties As a nursing assistant on night shift, you have a central role in creating security, continuity and a good care environment for our patients. Night work places special demands on independence, judgment and the ability to notice changes in the patient's well-being. You work closely with patients and together with the nurse you are responsible for ensuring that planned care and nursing are carried out during the night. The work includes: Psychiatric nursing based on the patient's individual needs and planned interventions Observations, supervision and assessment of changes in the patient's well-being Supporting and motivating conversations and suicide prevention work Supporting the patient in sleep, recovery and functioning nighttime routines Meeting and supporting patients during anxiety, worry and acute deterioration Documentation and structured handover reporting to day staff Practical work tasks that contribute to a safe and well-functioning care environment Carrying out somatic checks and observations, including NEWS, vital parameters, blood sugar checks and ECG, as well as noticing and reporting changes in the patient's health status. Qualifications You are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title and have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
