Are you an experienced nursing assistant with an interest in quality development and mentoring? We are now looking for two people with strong knowledge and experience in elder care who want to take on extra responsibility for mentoring, quality, and orientation in our operations. Here you will have a central role in contributing to good care and support through a person-centered approach, where each resident's needs and wishes are in focus. By working closely with both colleagues and management, you create security, participation, and development – for both residents and your colleagues. At Sollidenvägen 64C, there is a safe and pleasant workplace with a focus on good care. The unit is divided over two floors with a total of 52 apartments and is located close to forests and beautiful walking paths. We work toward a good work environment where collaboration and responsibility are important. Together we strive to provide the elderly we care for with days characterized by quality and that little extra. The workplace is located at the top of Solliden and is within walking distance to Östersund city center. The position is 100% and working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. Part of the working time involves mentoring staff, and the rest of the time you work as part of the regular team. Your placement is in the unit where you are employed, but your placement may be moved if needed. One of the positions is expected to start as soon as possible or by agreement. The other position has a planned start after the new year. Your New Role As a nursing assistant with advanced competence, you are an important part in developing both the care and your colleagues at the entire residence. You work closely with the unit manager, assistant unit manager, coordinator, and various ombudspersons, and have a key role in supporting and guiding staff in daily work. This includes mentoring colleagues in basic nursing care, rehabilitative working methods, and documentation, as well as ensuring that procedures are followed. You participate in case meetings, share information throughout the operations, and support ombudsperson roles such as meal, activities, language, and documentation ombudspersons. Another important part is that you are responsible for the orientation of new employees and receiving new residents, where you help create a complete picture of needs and begin implementation plans. The role combines practical work with responsibility for mentoring, quality, and development, making it both varied and meaningful. Your Competence Requirements Educated nursing assistant At least 3 years of professional experience as a nursing assistant in municipal elder care Strong knowledge of geriatric diseases and nursing care Strong knowledge of mentoring Strong Swedish language skills, both verbal and written Good computer skills Meritorious Further education in healthcare and support Documented mentor training Experience working in the Viva management system Good knowledge of the municipality's procedures and guidelines We Are Looking for You We are looking for you with very strong knowledge in all aspects of nursing assistant work, as you are expected to be a knowledge resource for your colleagues. You are loyal to the organization and act in accordance with made decisions, guidelines, the operations plan, set goals, and policies. In this role, you are thorough and well aware of the operations' goals and quality standards, and you like to take your own initiative within the scope of the assignment. As a mentor, you have a pedagogical talent where you adapt your way of communicating to the person you are to train. Your communication is clear and you ensure that the recipient understands what you want to convey. You remind and follow up to ensure good quality in care work.
