About Us The Oncology Division in Region Blekinge is located within the Surgery Clinic. Oncology is a relatively small operation but growing. Our ambition is to continue expanding the department and we are now seeking colleagues with drive who enjoy working in a small but close-knit group. We always have fun at work and maintain a relaxed work environment. All physicians have joint meetings in the morning and afternoon where we review what is planned for the day and what has occurred. Working with cancer patients can be demanding at times, but we all help and support each other. It is important to us that everyone goes home at the end of the day feeling good. Within the physician group, we currently have one specialist physician, five resident physicians (ST-läkare), and one licensed physician in the operation. We also have very close collaboration with the University Hospital in Skåne and regularly have specialist physicians from there on-site. Within the Health and Medical Care area in Region Blekinge, there are three divisions: Primary Care Division, Specialist Division, and Acute and Service Division. The Surgery Clinic is part of the Specialist Division together with nine other hospital clinics. About the Job We offer a developmental and educational position as a licensed physician within oncological day care operations. As a physician, you will work much in what we call day care physician role, where you, for example, meet patients who need assessment before treatment, rule out infection, and make other medical assessments. You will work closely with nurses and receive support from resident physicians and specialist physicians for your questions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in certain physician visits with oncologists to gain deeper knowledge. We see this as an opportunity to also spark an interest in oncology and potentially apply for a resident physician position here in the future. Oncology is at the forefront of research; you will encounter many questions within pharmaceuticals such as cytostatics, antibodies, and immunotherapy. We have continuous exchange of specialists, supervisors from SUS, and ongoing training. We are Looking for You You have Swedish physician licensure or are a licensed physician before AT (medical training) and wish to begin or continue your medical career with responsible and educational work within oncology. You have good collaboration skills, focus on the patient, and contribute to a pleasant and good work environment. Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Additional Information We conduct continuous selection. Locum tenens position for 6 months with possibility of extension.
