About the Operation Avesta lasarett is a smaller county hospital with a 24-hour emergency department and three care wards with approximately 40 beds in total. We provide primary care services for residents in southern Dalarna and northern Västmanland. Here, acute care, internal medicine, geriatrics, and rehabilitation are brought together in one clinic, offering unique opportunities for rapid and efficient patient management throughout the care chain. We also offer specialized outpatient services in: cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, sleep medicine, and dementia assessments, as well as general internal medicine and geriatric assessment and treatment. Job Responsibilities As a physician with us, you will: Work broadly in both inpatient and outpatient care. Be part of a competent team with close collaboration across specialties. Develop in an environment where learning and quality are paramount. Qualifications Requirements: Completed term 10 of medical education or valid Swedish medical license Swedish language skills equivalent to at least C1 level Personal qualities such as responsibility and collaboration skills are highly valued. We offer a fixed-term position from 2026-11-02 through 2027-05-30. If you hold a Swedish medical license, this is a locum position in preparation for possible continued BT/ST. If you are a medical student who has completed term 10, this is a locum position before AT/BT.
