Our Operations The Psychiatric Services Division at Akademiska Hospital is organized into four subspecialized sections, where the adult psychiatric emergency department and psychiatric acute care ward (PAVA) belong to the acute and consultation psychiatry section. The adult psychiatric emergency department operates 24/7 and has overall responsibility for acute operations and consultation services throughout the hospital. The emergency department also includes PAVA with twelve beds and the PAM unit, staffed by specialist nurses and nursing aides. We are seeking an assistant physician before AT (specialist training), with an interest in acute psychiatry. Your Assignment Your tasks include performing acute primary on-call assessments, psychiatric and somatic examinations, documentation, and feedback of assessments and interventions to nursing staff. An important part of the work is coordinating collaboration with somatic care units and organizing follow-up of patients in primary care or specialist psychiatry in close coordination with the backup on-call physician. Work at the adult psychiatric emergency department requires you to work efficiently, goal-oriented, and collaborate with various professional categories. All psychiatric conditions occur in daily work. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in psychiatry. As a person, you are responsible, cooperative, and stress-resilient. You have good ability to communicate and collaborate. In your work, you always put the patient in focus. Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written, is a requirement, minimum level C1. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. What We Offer We offer a fixed-term contract.
