Our Operations Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is responsible for specialized psychiatric health and medical care for individuals ages 0–18 in Uppsala County. Inpatient care, the emergency department, and the eating disorder unit are located at Akademiska Hospital in the Psychiatry House. Our outpatient clinics are centrally located in Uppsala and Enköping. If you arrive by train or bus, it takes approximately 5 minutes to walk to our outpatient clinics and 10 minutes to Akademiska Hospital. Research and teaching are integrated parts of the operations, and extensive patient-focused psychiatric research is conducted by several different professional groups. Your Assignment As a physician, you will be part of an engaged and knowledgeable team. Your assignment is to conduct development-oriented and evidence-based care within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's outpatient operations together with colleagues and supervisors. The positions include one junior physician position at the Enköping clinic and a second junior physician position with primary responsibility at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry emergency department. Research and teaching are integrated parts of the operations, and extensive patient-focused psychiatric research is conducted by several different professional groups. We have an active research group and an employed professor. Your work duties include conducting psychiatric diagnostics and/or assessment and treatment work in a team with, among others, nurses, nursing assistants, specialist physicians, counselors, occupational therapists, and psychologists. You will have good access to supervision from experienced specialist physicians. Work as a licensed physician is meritorious for future medical specialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed physician. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability and good collaboration and communication skills.
