Senior Maintenance Technician

About the Role
In this role, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment, with the goal of ensuring high operational reliability and availability in production. You will perform planned maintenance, inspections, and function checks as well as troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
The work also involves performing emergency repairs to minimize production downtime, analyzing recurring problems, and proposing long-term solutions. You will document completed work in the maintenance system and collaborate closely with production and other departments to ensure efficient and safe operations.
What We're Looking For
At least three years of experience in maintenance work in an industrial environment or equivalent
Documented experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience with both preventive and corrective maintenance
Good understanding of mechanical systems and experience with component changes, transmissions, pumps, motors, and pneumatics
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and electrical safety
Ability to perform simple electrical troubleshooting and understand electrical schematics and various components' functions
A strong technical interest and a clear "hands-on" mentality
Good Swedish language skills and basic English language skills
Secondary education in industry, technology, mechanics, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Experience with PLC-controlled systems, sensors, frequency converters, and other automation equipment is a merit. It is also a plus if you have experience from process industries, preferably in pharmaceuticals, food, or health foods, as well as knowledge of GMP.
You are solution-oriented, structured, and safety-conscious. You are comfortable working independently and taking responsibility, while also having good collaboration skills. You are flexible and stress-resistant during acute production downtime and have the ability to prioritize and make well-founded decisions even under time pressure. You feel comfortable working according to a rotating shift schedule with morning, evening, and night shifts as well as some weekend work.
