About the operation At Kiruna Malmförädling, ore from the mine is transformed into high-quality products. The process comprises three main steps: screening, concentration, and pelletizing. The department consists of eight sections, four of which focus on the main process and four serve as support sections in areas such as quality, technology and process development, materials handling, and water and dams. Your role As a Maintenance Engineer in Real Estate Maintenance, you will have a central role in developing and ensuring systematic and preventive maintenance of LKAB's industrial properties within Processing in Kiruna. You work long-term to identify maintenance needs, analyze the technical status of buildings and remaining service life, and translate your assessments into prioritized maintenance and reinvestment plans. In this role, you serve as technical support to operations and maintenance technicians as well as a client contact with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies. You develop technical decision-making documents, cost estimates, and budget documentation. At the same time, you drive improvement initiatives and develop preventive maintenance strategies. Through a risk- and lifecycle-based approach, you contribute to reducing maintenance debt, preventing acute problems, and ensuring that our facilities are safe, sustainable, and functional over time. You will also participate in, and when needed lead, technical investigations, projects, and reinvestments. An important part of the role is to develop working methods, processes, and maintenance data, and to ensure that relevant legal requirements, standards, and internal requirements are considered in planning and implementation. You will become part of a real estate team under development where you have the opportunity to influence the future approach to strategic property maintenance and contribute to the development of LKAB's industrial properties. What you bring We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who thrives in a role where you can combine analysis, collaboration, and long-term development work. You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for driving matters from analysis to implementation. With your strong collaboration skills, you build trusting relationships with both colleagues and external parties, while having the ability to make well-founded decisions based on operational needs. You are motivated by developing working methods, creating sustainable solutions, and contributing to the long-term development of facilities. Requirements Technical university degree or equivalent experience in, for example, construction, engineering, maintenance, or real estate. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license. Experience with technical maintenance, preferably related to buildings or building structures. Merits Experience with condition-based or risk-based maintenance. Experience with condition assessments and service life analyses. Knowledge of concrete and steel structures and corrosion management. Experience with IFS or other maintenance systems. Experience with budgeting, investment, or cost estimation work. Knowledge of EN 1090 and/or BAS-P/BAS-U. We look forward to receiving your application!
