We are the Mechanical Maintenance Engineers group within the maintenance operations of the combined heat and power plant in Händelö. Together, we ensure that the plant's mechanical equipment operates safely and reliably, so we can deliver electricity, heat, and process steam to the community around the clock. Through preventive and long-term maintenance, we contribute to a secure energy supply and a more sustainable energy society.
We are now looking for a maintenance engineer in mechanics to join our team!
Your role
As a maintenance engineer in mechanics, you will be a key function in planning maintenance at our combined heat and power plant. Your area of responsibility will be one of the plant's steam boiler systems. This means you are responsible for ensuring that maintenance work is planned and carried out at the right time according to defined cycles throughout the year. A central part of the role is to plan and lead our overhaul shutdowns.
You will work with, among other things:
Maintenance planning and management of the plant's mechanical equipment, such as steam boilers, pressure vessels, and other process components
Long-term planning and execution of overhauls
Coordination of contractors, work supervisors, and various technical areas during major maintenance and overhaul work
Budget basis, forecasts, and cost tracking related to maintenance
Risk assessments and work for a safe work environment with focus on health, safety, and environment
Your experience
We are looking for you with experience in maintenance work and long-term maintenance planning, where maintenance plans, preparation, and register management are a natural part of your daily work. Experience in planning and coordinating major overhauls or maintenance shutdowns with many contractors is important, as is the ability to balance technology, economics, and safety, from risk assessments to forecasts and follow-up. The foundation is an engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering or equivalent competence from long and relevant experience.
It is advantageous to have knowledge of boiler and combustion technology, experience with mechanical maintenance of steam boilers and process plants, and expertise in ESA Industri & Installation and BAS-U. It is also advantageous to have a background in the energy sector or the paper and process industries.
