Finnforsvägen 4, Boliden, Sweden
Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we extract and make available will play a crucial role in the future as well - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations. Do you want to help shape the future of maintenance work? To meet future challenges and continue driving improvements in maintenance and operational reliability, we are now expanding our maintenance teams at Renströmsgruvan. We are looking for a dedicated and analytical maintenance engineer who wants to make a difference! Your Role: As a Maintenance Engineer, you play a central role in ensuring plant availability and long-term development of our production-critical facilities. You work closely with operations and are responsible, together with various stakeholders, for driving improvement initiatives, development projects, and contributing to increased operational reliability of our machinery and equipment. In this role, you serve as a subject matter expert on projects and upgrades as well as support to technicians and work teams in their quality and improvement efforts. You also perform analyses and develop plans to enhance and strengthen preventive maintenance. As a maintenance engineer, you collaborate closely with colleagues and external suppliers. You will also be part of a network across the Boliden area - where you together develop processes, work methods, and support each other. All to ensure an efficient and sustainable maintenance process across the entire Boliden area. Your Team As a maintenance engineer at Renströmsgruvan - Sweden's deepest mine - you will be part of a team consisting of six employees (Planners, Preparers, and Supervisors) who together drive maintenance work for the mine's fixed facilities and mobile equipment - both above and below ground in a unique environment. Your Tasks: Develop and analyze maintenance strategies. Lead improvement initiatives and manage quality deviations. Perform technical analyses (including FMEA, RCM, criticality). Monitor key performance indicators for availability and efficiency. Provide technical support for projects, investments, and installations. Follow technical developments and oversee development matters. Participate actively in investment planning. Your Contribution: We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and communicative and enjoys collaborating with others. You have the ability to lead projects, engage your colleagues, and create a shared direction toward established goals. You are motivated by finding solutions to problems and lead work from analysis to implementation. You are comfortable in a role where you balance long-term goals with daily operational challenges. With a structured and systematic work approach, you have a strong drive to improve and optimize our maintenance processes together with us. We are looking for someone who has: University or college education in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience. Knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance. Experience driving projects and development activities. Good skills in Swedish and English - or the willingness to learn. Driver's license category B. We would like it if you, as an applicant, have an engineering degree with a focus on maintenance, machinery, facilities, processes, or equivalent. It is also an advantage to have practical experience in mining operations, energy, or process industry as well as experience in change management and improvement work. Why Work With Us: At Boliden, we believe in promoting a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people who all work toward the same vision; to become the world's most sustainable and respected metals supplier. Apply today to become part of something truly meaningful! At Boliden, diversity and inclusion are drivers of innovation.
