Maintenance Engineer

We are now looking for a maintenance engineer who wants to help ensure high reliability and efficient maintenance already in the development phase of new production facilities. About the role In this role, you will be an important part of a project team where you are responsible for integrating the maintenance perspective early in the development process. You work closely with suppliers, technical specialists, and the project organization to ensure that new or rebuilt equipment meets requirements for operational reliability, maintainability, and documentation. The assignment is full-time and performed on-site at the customer in Skövde. Start is planned for fall 2026 and the assignment runs initially for approximately 12 months with the possibility of extension. Examples of work tasks: Ensure that requirements and strategies for reliability and maintenance are met during procurement and rebuilding of equipment. Participate in concept and design reviews with a focus on operational reliability, maintainability, and technical specifications. Plan and conduct mechanical inspections and participate in delivery approvals. Develop preventive maintenance plans and instructions for mechanical maintenance. Responsible for spare parts preparation and availability of wear and spare parts. Ensure quality and structure in technical equipment and maintenance documentation. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the project phases. Who you are You have several years of experience in maintenance work within manufacturing industry and are experienced working in a project environment. You have a strong technical interest and good understanding of mechanical systems, while enjoying collaboration with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. We would like to see that you have worked with reliability and maintenance matters in connection with investments, new installations, or rebuilds of production equipment. You have experience reviewing technical solutions from a maintenance perspective, developing preventive maintenance plans, and ensuring that technical documentation maintains high quality. Knowledge of spare parts management and structured equipment documentation is also important for the role. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. We believe you have: Experience with mechanical production facilities or mechanical engineering work. Good knowledge of maintenance methodology and maintenance processes. Experience working with operational reliability, reliability, and maintenance in a project environment.
