About the Role As an automation technician in the industrial sector, you are responsible for installation, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated systems and machines. The role encompasses work with everything from robots and advanced production equipment to control systems (PLC). You are a key person in developing and optimizing operations. This means you work both practically in the facility and digitally with programming, system analysis and technical problem-solving. The position includes: • developing and adapting technical solutions for production • ensuring efficient and stable flow through preventive maintenance • quickly and methodically addressing operational disruptions to minimize production downtime This is a role for you who thrives at the intersection of technology, automation and practical work – with the goal of contributing to modern, safe and reliable production. Your main responsibilities • PLC programming and control system adjustment • Preventive maintenance and emergency response during downtime • General troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving • Contact with suppliers related to service, spare parts and technical issues • Reporting and documentation in our maintenance system • Participation in cross-functional meetings and improvement forums Who are you? We are looking for you who have relevant education in electrical engineering and automation, preferably with experience in industrial maintenance and work related to electrical engineering. The role requires good technical understanding and a structured, solution-oriented approach. • Education in electrical engineering, automation • Experience in industrial maintenance is a merit, particularly in electrical work • Class B driver's license • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English • German is a merit • Control and regulation technology (e.g. PLC systems, measurement technology and signal tracing) • Robotics and handling of industrial robots • Operation and maintenance of production equipment, including preventive and corrective measures Who are we? We are a maintenance group consisting of 24 employees with broad and complementary expertise. The team includes electricians, mechanics, shift leaders, planners and maintenance coordinators, which allows us to cover the entire spectrum of maintenance needs – from emergency response to strategic improvement work. We work closely with a neighboring group with comparable capacity, which creates stability, flexibility and a robust organization that handles both planned and unplanned maintenance operations. Collaboration between the groups is a natural part of our working approach and follows established maintenance processes and meeting structures within Scania Industrial Maintenance, such as daily management. Our common goal is to deliver the right technical availability for production and machinery.
