A mountain resort on the Šumava is looking for a technician for the maintenance department to take responsibility for the hotel's operations. WE EXPECT:
- Daily building maintenance: Performing minor repairs of all kinds (masonry, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and locksmith work).
- Technology oversight: Daily inspection of boiler rooms, water top-ups, valve and seal checks, maintenance of pumps, ventilation systems, and cooling units. Keeping an operational log and resolving malfunctions.
- Site and grounds care: Landscaping around the hotel and on slopes, grass mowing, clearing weeds from terraces, cleaning walkways. Snow removal from parking lots in winter.
- Cleanliness and waste: Maintaining order in technical rooms (switchboards, storage areas, basements), grease trap inspection, ensuring waste disposal including hazardous waste.
- Technical support and management: Operating AV equipment in halls during events, checking emergency lighting and TV distribution. Communication with external service companies.
- Supply and fleet operations: Care of company vehicles and garage, delivery of materials and distribution to operational areas.
- On-call availability: Providing technical services according to schedule and emergency support to reception with problems (including crisis situations such as assisting with elevator breakdowns).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Versatile craft skills: Experience in similar positions (maintenance technician, facility manager, handyman) is a great advantage.
- Basic technical knowledge: Ability to navigate water, heating, and basic electrical systems.
- Electrical qualification: Valid certificate for working on electrical equipment (former Directive 50, now Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll.) is a huge plus for you.
- Driver's license category B: Required for material purchases and driving company vehicles.
- Personal qualities: Independence, reliability, clean criminal record, and professional behavior toward hotel guests.
