Description We are recruiting a Transport Developer with a focus on systems and digitalization to MediCarrier's Transport Services business area. This role suits you if you want to work at the intersection of transport operations, systems and data, and use technology to develop the business. In the role, you work closely with operations to develop our transport flows, work methods, and system solutions. You analyze data and operational needs, configure and develop features in our transport systems, and translate needs into requirements for new or modified solutions. This could include digital ordering flows, traceability, integrations, or support for new transport assignments. You maintain close contact with traffic management, drivers, managers, and other users, and work collaboratively with system providers and IT. The role is part of Transport Development within the Transport Services business area and you report to the business area manager. This is not a traditional IT role. The focus is not on server operations, IT infrastructure, or programming. Systems, data, and technology are tools for developing transport operations. Main Responsibilities Analyze customer, order, and transport data as a basis for development and new assignments Identify operational needs and translate them into system solutions and improved work methods Configure and further develop features in the transport system Opter and related systems Specify system development and changes to providers and IT Work with integration and information flows, such as EDI and API Develop solutions for traceability, scanning, and digital transport flows Troubleshoot, test, and quality assure system functions, data, and integrations Work with operational technology such as handheld devices and mobile applications Participate in and drive development initiatives within Transport Services Who Are You? You have a strong interest in both operations and technology and enjoy understanding how transport flows, systems, and data connect. You don't need to be a programmer or systems developer, but you have good technical understanding and are comfortable solving operational problems with the help of systems and data. You're comfortable switching between dialogue with users, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, and specifying requirements to providers. As a person, you are analytical, curious, and solution-oriented. You enjoy working close to operations and actively seek dialogue with colleagues and users to understand needs and find working solutions. At the same time, you're self-directed, structured, and able to grasp complex issues and drive work forward from needs to implemented solution. To succeed in this role, we see that you have: post-secondary education in, for example, logistics or systems science, or equivalent work experience experience with transport, logistics, or other operational systems experience with configuring, troubleshooting, or developing system functions good analytical ability and experience working with data good Excel skills ability to understand operational needs and translate them into practical solutions good collaboration and communication skills It's a plus if you also have: experience with transport systems or TMS experience with EDI, API, or other integration flows basic knowledge of databases, SQL, and data extraction experience with requirements specification, testing, or system implementations experience with traceability, scanning, or mobile solutions What Do We Offer You?
