Hourly Substitute at After-School Program – Skärsta Friskola
Do you enjoy working with children and want flexible, meaningful work where you can make a difference in their everyday lives?
Skärsta Friskola is now seeking reliable, committed, and responsible hourly substitutes for our after-school program. We're looking for someone who can work as needed and is available to step in when regular staff are absent.
About the Position
As a substitute in the after-school program, you'll be an important part of the students' day. Your role is to work together with other staff to create a safe, positive, and meaningful after-school experience for our students.
The work may include:
- Being present with students and contributing to a sense of security and positive relationships
- Participating in and leading activities, games, and creative projects
- Being outdoors with students and encouraging movement and activity
- Supporting students in their social interactions
- Helping with snacks and other daily routines
- Collaborating with other educators and contributing where needed.
Depending on the program's needs, work may also occur during the school day.
What We're Looking For
Above all, we're looking for someone who is a secure, positive, and present adult. You enjoy meeting with children, are curious about their thoughts and interests, and have the ability to build positive relationships while setting clear and secure boundaries.
You need to be flexible, as substitute work sometimes requires availability on short notice.
Experience working with children and young people is a plus, as is teacher training, but it's not required. What matters most to us is your personal suitability, your commitment, and your willingness to contribute to a safe and positive day for our students.

About the Employment
Employment Type: Hourly employment as needed
Scope: Varying, based on program needs
Start Date: By mutual agreement
We are continuously looking for people to join our substitute pool and will contact suitable applicants on an ongoing basis.
Work in schools requires that you present a valid police clearance certificate before employment begins.
