About the Job Would you like to make a difference for people with disabilities and provide them with daily support? We are now hiring engaged casual care workers for Skärviken and Skäruddens BmSS, located on beautiful Styrsö in Gothenburg's southern archipelago! To reach our facilities on Styrsö, you will need to take the ferry from Saltholmen. As a casual care worker with our Staffing Unit, you will be an important part of our residents' daily lives. You will assist with both practical and educational tasks, from personal care to recreational activities and social support. We work with individualized support for people with intellectual disabilities and autism. What is a disability? A disability is a reduced physical, mental, or intellectual capacity. About You You must be at least 18 years old in accordance with the regulations on working conditions for minors (AFS 2023:2). To be able to maintain documentation, you need to have a command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. Education in care and welfare or other education that the employer considers equivalent, or experience working with people with disabilities and/or in care and welfare work is a merit. It is a merit if you have experience working with the autism target group and challenging behavior. Additional knowledge of LAB (Low-Affect Approaches), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), visual pedagogy, MI, and experience with social documentation would be advantageous.
