We are now recruiting temporary staff for our Staffing Unit within the Department of Support Services, serving the city districts Southwest (Askim, Frölunda, Högsbo, western Gothenburg, Styrsö) and Northeast (Angered, Bergsjön, Gamlestaden, Kortedala). Within support services, you will work with everything from home care to supporting people at their workplace, in leisure activities, or in creative environments such as theater and music. Daily support is the foundation – but needs vary. Regardless of the assignment, the goal is always the same: to strengthen people's independence and quality of life. What is a disability? Our operations We recruit for several units within support services: - Housing with special services (BmSS) – 24-hour operation. - Day activities – habilitative and work-oriented activities during daytime. - Housing support – support in users' home environments, primarily daytime but also evenings and weekends. - Short-term housing for adults – time-limited support and care for adult users. Placement is based on operational needs and your previous experience. Job duties Work varies depending on the operation but may include: - Educational support in daily life - Personal care - Cooking, laundry, and other daily chores - Activities and social support - Documentation and medication management according to delegation Challenging and self-injurious behaviors may occur in some of our operations. Temporary position: As a temporary staff member, you work as needed and set your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night shifts depending on the operation. Qualifications You must be at least 18 years old in accordance with regulations on working environment for minors AFS 2023:2 6 kap, 5,6 and 8§ regarding solo work. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. It is an advantage if you are trained as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent, or if you have ongoing education within care, education, or social work. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in care, education, or social work. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks.
