Job Description
All work in the preschool is conducted using a project-based approach and follows our curriculum and other governing documents. We have a shared value foundation based on curriculum intentions and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are seeking substitute staff with strong commitment who share our educational philosophy and view of humanity.
Job Responsibilities
As a substitute childcare worker in Salem Municipality, you will work based on children's needs for safety, learning, and development. This includes participating in educational activities, documentation, material care, and other practical work in the facilities. The role also involves collaboration with parents, colleagues, and management. We work in a dynamic environment based on children's interests, and it is important that you are both present and inquiry-minded in your approach.
Qualifications
We require strong Swedish language skills and knowledge of the preschool curriculum. You must be able to participate in all preschool activities and have the ability to take initiative and collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians. As temporary staff, flexibility and the ability to work according to the school schedule are essential. Previous experience as substitute staff or other professional experience working with children is an advantage. If you are a trained childcare worker or have other pedagogical education, that is a merit.
Terms of Employment
We are looking for someone who can work extra when staff members are ill or on leave. Placement and introduction by agreement. A police certificate is required for employment. Submit your application by September 25, 2026.
