Hourly and Permanent Position at Sheltered Housing

Do you want to work in an activity where you make a real difference for women and children in vulnerable life situations? NiCa Teamet is now seeking dedicated hourly workers for our sheltered housing for women and children who are victims of intimate partner violence or living under other forms of threat and vulnerability. We are primarily looking for someone who wants to start working with us as an hourly worker, but our hope is to find people who thrive in our operations and want to develop together with us. For the right person, there may therefore be an opportunity to transition to a permanent position later on. With us, you work closely with the residents and become an important part of the work to create security, structure and stability during a period when their life situation is often very difficult. Work Tasks As an hourly worker with us, you work to provide practical and social support in daily life. The tasks may include: Provide practical support and guidance to residents Be a safe and professional support in daily life Participate in activities and, if needed, accompany residents to various meetings Contribute to a safe, calm and well-functioning residential environment Work based on individual needs and safety plans Document according to the operations' procedures Follow the operations' routines regarding security, confidentiality and information management Collaborate with colleagues and other relevant parties regarding residents' needs Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is confident, responsible and attentive, and who has the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations with respect and professionalism. It is important that you can work independently, while also functioning well with others. You need to be able to remain calm even when situations change rapidly and understand the importance of confidentiality, security and clear professional boundaries. Education is required in social work and/or behavioral science. Experience working with victims of violence is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. About the Position The position is initially an hourly employment during daytime hours as needed, but may also involve work in the evenings and on weekends. We are particularly interested in people who want to work regularly and become part of the operations over time. For the right person, there is an opportunity for the hourly position to develop into a permanent position in the long term.
