Internationella Engelska Skolan Årsta is a primary school for grades 4-9 with 440 students and 60 employees. About the Role As a substitute teacher at IES Årsta, you will cover positions where we identify a need. You will teach lessons across all subjects and grade levels. You will be part of our substitute teacher pool that covers for planned and unplanned absences of regular staff. In addition to teaching lessons, we also see a need to support individual students, particularly in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language, but also in other lessons and outside the classroom. This position is therefore suited for someone comfortable working as both a substitute teacher and student assistant as needed. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and good communication skills with both students and teachers. We believe you: - Can follow and implement lesson plans prepared by regular teachers. - Have previous experience with or are qualified to work with children and young people. - Speak fluent Swedish and have good English skills. - Are confident in your leadership, engaged, and take initiative. - Are flexible and can come to work with short notice. It is a merit if you have previous experience supporting students in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language.
