JOB DUTIES As a childcare worker, you will work in preschool, preschool class, after-school care, youth club, and adapted primary school, replacing regular staff during their absence. The needs of the units completely determine how much work you will receive, and we therefore cannot guarantee you work every day. Since our operations are mostly closed during the summer, we primarily need staff during the school terms. You should live within a reasonable distance from Järfälla to be able to get to the workplaces within reasonable time. We use the IT system TimePool where you enter the times you want to work, which are then matched against the units' needs. This means you must have access to the internet and a mobile phone for us to be able to offer you work. The activities should be fun, safe, and educational for all children. As a childcare worker, you work to create a safe and secure environment that encourages children to play and learn. In collaboration with the work team, you implement pedagogical activities. You work with all routine situations, such as meals, children's daily hygiene, dressing/undressing, educational play, cleaning, etc. QUALIFICATIONS First and foremost, we are looking for you who have childcare worker training. If you also have previous experience working with children, we see that as a merit. You must enjoy and see it as a challenge to work at new workplaces and collaborate with new colleagues. Since the position requires the ability to quickly contribute to good work performance, you must be able to work independently and have the ability to take own initiatives. The work requires good social skills and the ability to enjoy working outdoors part of the day. The position requires a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 (Sva 1). If you cannot attach such a grade in your application, you may instead be required to take a language test as part of the initial screening in the recruitment process. Since our employees work Monday-Friday on schedule with working hours between 06:30-17:30, we are looking for you who can work during these times. You must be able to work at least ten days per month. If you work fewer than five days per month, we will terminate your employment. You must also be able to work on Mondays. The position starts immediately. Please note that most schools and preschools are closed during the summer months, which means we unfortunately cannot guarantee work during the summer. Before any employment can take place, a background check will be conducted. If you are offered employment with us, it is also required by law that you provide a criminal records check in order for the employment to be relevant. The criminal records check is called "Criminal Records Check for Work in the School System" and can be ordered on the Police website. Note that the criminal records check must be no more than 6 months old from the date of issue. Since we often have a high number of applicants, it may sometimes take a while before we provide feedback.
