COURT ADMINISTRATION announces an open competition for Zemgale District Court (Ogre) COURT SECRETARY (with interpreter duties) position (for an indefinite term) Job Description: register documents and data in the Court Information System case management module; prepare files in accordance with Court case management organization regulations; after a court decision becomes legally binding, perform all actions related to submitting the decision for enforcement; receive visitors' submissions and applications for registration, provide visitors with necessary information; familiarize persons with court cases located in the court office or archive, ensure their preservation; prepare draft responses according to instructions; issue documents, decisions, or their copies; prepare court correspondence for sending; provide video conferencing support; participate in court sessions and ensure legally qualified oral and written translation from Latvian to Russian and from Russian to Latvian in court; review case materials before scheduled court sessions to ensure quality translation; translate court decisions and other documents necessary for proceedings; where provided by law, ensure translation of documents for process participants by reviewing case materials. Requirements for candidates: secondary education or higher education in humanities (language studies and programs) or law; practical work experience in case management and document preparation; experience in oral and written translation between Russian-Latvian and Latvian-Russian; understanding of court work organization and procedural legal acts; knowledge of legal terminology in Latvian and Russian; state language proficiency at the highest level; excellent knowledge of Russian; advanced user skills in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel), email, and internet browser use; knowledge of case management, document preparation, and skills in using information technologies and software; skill in operating office equipment at a good user level.
