The demands of complex embedded systems and software products continue to drive up development costs. Introducing testing early in the development phase is the absolute key to controlling costs and ensuring quality – even when the rest of the system is still in early stages of maturity. Right now, we're looking for an experienced automotive test engineer and test system developer with expertise in Vector's test system environment and CANoe for exciting assignments with our customers in the automotive industry at Infotiv. If you have experience with electrification and testing of electric powertrains, that's a strong asset. As an employee with us, you'll become part of a skilled and unpretentious team that customizes advanced test system solutions – whether it's physical rigs or the virtual simulation environments of the future. Our philosophy is captured in the words "warm heart and sharp mind." The warm heart means we put people first – with us, you should feel seen, valued, and listened to. The sharp mind stands for our high technical expertise, where we encourage innovative thinking and taking initiative. We want you to be able to test new things and grow in your professional role, while having the security of stable employment with fair terms and a collective agreement via Almega. Key responsibility areas in the role Here are the areas that define the role and where you'll spend most of your time: Design and development of test systems: You design, develop, and maintain complex HIL, MIL, SIL, and box-vehicle environments and build simulated test environments for vehicle components. Vector configuration and parameterization: You set up, configure, and optimize test systems based on Vector, and use CANoe and related tools, including modeling and simulation of signals. Coding and test automation: You write scripts and further develop frameworks in Python, C/C++, and CAPL, and integrate these with CI flows and automation servers. Hardware-level work and support: You assemble and configure electronic hardware, troubleshoot existing test rigs, and support developers and verification engineers in their daily work. What does your development journey look like? Working as a consultant with us means you get the best of both worlds: exciting assignments at the cutting edge of technology with our customers, combined with the security and community at Infotiv. Onboarding and support: During your first period, you have strong support from both your manager and colleagues at Infotiv to get into the role safely. We ensure together with the customer that you get proper introduction to the test rigs, architecture, and toolchains. Ongoing dialogue: We maintain close dialogue and regular check-ins with both you and the customer. We do this to ensure that the assignment matches your expectations, that you're happy, and that you have the right conditions in your day-to-day work. Competence development: In parallel with your assignment, you always have Infotiv's network of skilled test and software engineers backing you up. We're happy to share knowledge, work through complex rig problems, and offer continuous competence development. The team and how we work You'll become part of a knowledgeable team of test system developers who are passionate about making technology work for us – not the other way around. We like the combination of theoretical problem-solving and hands-on work with rigs and electronics. Work happens both independently and in close collaboration with the customer's V&V testers and software developers. We have an open culture where we help each other find the pieces that keep the most advanced test environments running. Who are you today? For you to thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you have: A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of experience with measurement technology and test system development in HIL, rig, or system test environments. Several years of experience with advanced use of Vector CANoe / CANalyzer. Extensive experience with vehicle communication (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and vehicle diagnostics. Strong programming skills in Python as well as C/C++ and experience with test automation, Git, and CI flows. A valid driver's license and very good English skills in both speech and writing (Swedish is a plus). Merits: Experience with virtual test methods/simulators Experience from heavy vehicles or electric powertrains. Experience in hardware design (schematics/circuit boards) or directives such as the Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive. Experience with dSPACE or National Instruments (NI) as well as ISTQB certification. Application Does this sound like your next step? Send in your application today as we meet candidates on an ongoing basis! We're especially curious about your technical journey, who you are when the workday is done, and what you dream of developing next. (Please note that as part of our recruitment process, we conduct drug testing and security clearance when needed).
