Job Description Are you a detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer who wants to work alongside some of the world's most skilled engineers and contribute to critical and high-tech projects? We are strengthening our team in Stockholm and looking for colleagues who want to help develop solutions for both innovative companies and essential societal services. At AFRY, we work on external client projects where we develop and improve products for both national and international customers across various industries. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in increasing our clients' automation maturity by developing and implementing effective testing solutions and test cases. Work takes place both at our client sites and at our office in Solna, typically 3–5 days per week depending on the assignment. As some of our assignments are within classified security operations, Swedish citizenship and approved security clearance and background check may be required. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an eye for detail who enjoys working both independently and in teams. You take responsibility willingly and drive your work forward, while contributing your problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. You have experience handling and reporting test results in a structured and clear manner, and you are comfortable participating in technical discussions within cross-functional teams. To thrive in this role, we believe you have the following background and experience: At least 5–10 years of test automation experience, preferably in larger organizations. Relevant university degree or equivalent professional training/work experience. Experience from the public sector and/or the Swedish Armed Forces. Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, or similar. Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar. Certification: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation. Experience with agile work, for example through frameworks such as SAFe. Very strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Swedish citizenship and ability to undergo security clearance. Merits Experience with hardware testing and creating test strategies. Experience developing test automation frameworks. Experience using AI in test work. Experience testing non-functional requirements, such as robustness, security, and performance.
