Assignment Description For a major government agency in Stockholm, we are seeking an independent Technical Tester / QA specialist for a long-term consulting assignment. You will be responsible for quality assurance of the organization's high-traffic mobile applications and websites. Testing will be based on real user flows, such as ticket purchases, journey searches, and disruption management, in a complex technical environment with large real-time data volumes. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the testing process and be part of a cross-functional agile team consisting of 13 people (product owner, developers for Android/iOS/backend, UX designer, etc.). Your main responsibilities: Full responsibility for testing: Independently plan, design, execute, and follow up on testing work throughout the entire test cycle (from requirements analysis to release verification). User-driven testing: Conduct manual testing based on real user flows and end-user behavior on mobile and web. Accessibility (WCAG): Perform accessibility testing tailored for public sector operations. Risk analysis & Drive: Identify risk areas, determine test scope, and drive quality assurance work forward. Technical QA & Troubleshooting: Configure and work in test environments and use tools for troubleshooting, simulation, and traffic analysis/manipulation. Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate to bridge dependencies with other systems and stakeholders within the organization. Mandatory Requirements You must have at least five (5) years of documented work experience in quality assurance of mobile applications for both Android and iOS. At least three (3) years of work experience within the last five (5) years of independently planning, conducting, and following up on testing work throughout the entire test process. The experience must include:- Requirements analysis- Test design- Test execution- Bug reporting- Release verification At least three (3) years of work experience with API and integration testing. The experience must include working with API testing tools, API documentation, and network traffic analysis, such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Charles Proxy, or equivalent tools. At least three (3) years of experience with accessibility testing according to WCAG and DIGG's guidelines. The experience must include using VoiceOver and TalkBack. At least three (3) years of documented work experience working in cross-functional development teams, including collaboration with developers, designers, and product owners. At least one (1) year of work experience within the last five (5) years working in modern development and test environments with tools for test management, issue tracking, and version control (such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Git/Bitbucket, or equivalent). Meritorious Requirements You should have two (2) years of work experience in test automation of mobile applications. You should have two (2) years of work experience working with both Charles Proxy and Swagger. Experience from at least one (1) assignment lasting at least twelve (12) months testing payment flows in mobile applications. Examples: payment cards, Swish, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Experience from at least one (1) assignment of at least twelve (12) months where exploratory testing made up a significant part of the testing work. About the Assignment & Practical Information Period: 2026-12-01 – 2027-11-30. Options: Extension options up to 1+1+1+1 years. Your Application Does the role sound interesting and suitable?
