We are now seeking a Technical Procurement Specialist at a leading company in the defense industry in Karlskoga. ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Technical Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for purchasing machine components, manufactured parts, and other equipment that the business needs. You manage the procurement process from ordering and supplier contact to follow-up, incoming materials, and delivery. You will have a central and coordinating role with many points of contact. A large part of the work involves maintaining ongoing contact with sub-suppliers and external partners and ensuring that orders are executed according to established requirements, schedules, and delivery dates. In the role, you also collaborate with the company's designers. You serve as technical support in matters concerning procurement and external manufacturing and participate in design reviews to ensure that procurement documents and technical specifications are clear and feasible for suppliers to work with. This role is suitable for you if you have a basic technical understanding and enjoy combining administrative tasks with planning, supplier dialogue, and practical coordination. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will, among other things: Procure machine components, manufactured parts, and equipment Manage contacts with sub-suppliers and external partners Request and follow up on information from suppliers Place orders and follow up on ongoing purchases Ensure that orders and deliveries follow agreed-upon schedules Plan and coordinate assembly and equipment deliveries Handle and follow up on incoming materials Coordinate activities between designers, internal functions, and suppliers Participate in design reviews from a procurement and supplier perspective Handle technical documentation and update drawing records Participate in improvement projects and development of work methods The role is broad and contains both technical and administrative tasks. You are expected to be able to plan and prioritize your work, drive activities forward, and ensure that orders and deliveries are managed according to plan. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHOHas good computer skills and experience with administrative work Has basic technical understanding or technical experience Has experience working in business systems Has experience with planning and work management Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written Holds a valid driver's license (Category B) Has the ability to work structured and meet deadlines It is meritorious if you have: Experience with the business system IFS A production technology background Great weight will be placed on your personal qualities.
