Gothenburg Port is Scandinavia's largest port and is visited by the world's largest vessels. For over 400 years, we have been the logistics hub in Sweden's international trade and are the obvious gateway to the world for Swedish imports and exports. In the municipally owned company, around 180 people work today. We are at a stage where we are simultaneously building a lot of new infrastructure and developing the port while ensuring the function of a large number of existing facilities. To the Infrastructure department, the Asset Management Marine Structures & Real Estate unit, we are looking for a person for the role of Technical Manager for Quay Structures. Maybe you already work as a manager today, but you could also have experience from project management or construction and want to develop within management with us. What can we offer you? At Gothenburg Port, you will get a broad and flexible job where in a client role you will work to ensure that the port's quay structures are maintained and developed in a sustainable way in the long term. You will be part of a team with three other technical managers where you will have main responsibility for your own part of the port and work together on strategies, technology and business development. Once you are established in the role, you will be responsible for and lead the entire management chain for your port section from inspection, condition assessment and action planning to technical support in projects and management of maintenance information in our systems for technical data and drawings. You will be responsible for budget planning and financial follow-up for the structures you manage. The marine environment places great demands on technology choices and execution methods. You will have the opportunity to work on technical issues during the execution phase in various new construction and renovation projects, technical standards for quay structures, and participate in various research and development projects where we collaborate with industry actors such as universities, research institutes, the Swedish Transport Administration and other port operators in and outside Sweden. Who are you? We need you who wants to work in a complex environment with many stakeholders where you manage quay structures and other marine facilities, mainly consisting of concrete and steel. We are looking for you who have: Experience with infrastructure structures in roles such as client, project manager, inspector, designer or engineer. You may also have worked as a contractor or site manager in close cooperation with a designer. Experience in independently planning, prioritizing and carrying out tasks and driving assignments Relevant academic education, for example university degree/civil engineer in civil engineering. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. B driving license For the position, it is meritorious if you have experience with repair and maintenance of existing concrete structures. For you to thrive in the position, you need to want work that includes both work in the port area and office work as well as handling documents and technical data in management and financial systems. You want to contribute to the development of the business's working methods, systems and routines. As a person, we see that you are thorough, structured and persistent. You do not need to know all parts of the management chain today, but experience from some part and great willingness and potential to independently take responsibility for a port section within 1–2 years. You will be part of a team where it is important that you help each other and support one another.
