As an Engineering Specialist, you'll have one of Sweden's most important jobs, where you'll contribute daily to Sweden's electricity supply. About the role As a Foundation Engineering Specialist, you'll have a central and important function in developing Svenska kraftnät's technical solutions for overhead line foundations. Your work will vary between strategic issues and operational project support, with a particular focus on technical guidelines, standard designs, and project assistance. Your main responsibilities include: • Managing and further developing technical guidelines, such as TR05-02, related to overhead line foundations. This means ensuring that guidelines are current, relevant, and adapted to both technical requirements and operational needs. • Leading and carrying out development assignments related to Svenska kraftnät's standard foundations and standard designs. Work is conducted either internally or in close collaboration with our consulting partners, with a focus on developing solutions that are cost-effective, buildable, and sustainable from a lifecycle perspective. • Providing technical support to our construction projects on matters concerning foundation requirements and solutions. This might include reviewing special designs and calculation reports, performing design checks, and managing deviations from current guidelines. The position is located in the Overhead Line Technology Design unit. Here, 14 engineering specialists work with responsibility for the technical design of overhead lines and associated foundations. Further, you have: • A civil or technical engineering degree in civil engineering, construction, or building technology, or equivalent education that we consider relevant. You also have: • Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. • Several years of professional experience in design and dimensioning of foundation structures for overhead lines, substations, wind power, masts, bridge structures, or similar. • At least five years of professional experience with foundation and concrete structures. It is meritorious if you have: • Several years of professional experience in design or construction projects in the construction industry. • Been active in the overhead line industry for at least three years during the past five years. • Experience in overhead line design. • Experience in pile foundation dimensioning. • Experience as a technical requirements setter in a client role. • Design or dimensioning of other types of geotechnical structures, e.g., sheet pile walls, pile foundation, ground reinforcement, settlement calculations. • Contributed to research and development or education in geotechnics. • Knowledge of AB/ABT/ABK/AMA/MER/Eurocodes and similar industry standards.
