Your Assignment
As a technology educator, you will be part of Verkstäderna's youth leader team, and your mission is to guide, inspire, and coach children and young people to discover new digital and technical interests. Your focus is to work with school class visits to spark interest in technology and entrepreneurship in society, and to plan and conduct activities within Verkstäderna's regular operations with a technology focus.
You will lead and take responsibility for the pedagogical work in the operation regarding programming, digitalization, and construction work based on the assignment stemming from the school curriculum, and develop and adapt instruction in school and leisure activities so that all children and youth can succeed.
You will also be responsible for the municipality's NTA work.
NTA is a school development program in natural sciences, technology, and mathematics that the municipality has been a member of since 2014.
We are seeking you with pedagogical qualifications to teach technology. Other relevant teaching experience can also be a merit. It is important that you have broad technical interests and have knowledge or a desire to learn more.
In the role of technology educator, you are initiative-taking and start and drive activities. You often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. As a person, you adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You plan and structure but also have flexibility when things change. You can lead, organize, and motivate others in a way that drives the work forward and that set goals are achieved.
As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. You have good collaboration skills and understanding for the operation's important mission and how different activities and professionals cooperate with the citizen in focus.
You have good pedagogical insight and understand how people acquire knowledge and that people have different conditions. Your innovative thinking can be translated into practice and leads to results. You have cultural awareness and value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others.

About the Workplace
Help create a successful Söderhamn! In the sector Children and Learning, we focus on children and young people up to 20 years old. The sector brings together operations and competencies that together have the greatest impact to give all children the opportunity to be entrepreneurs in their own lives—so they can choose their own future. Pedagogical activities, preventative and promotional activities, and social services exist within the sector. Approximately 800 employees work here meeting children and young people through, for example, preschool, primary school, specialized primary school, cultural school, social services, and youth activities at Verkstäderna.
Your Competence
You have pedagogical qualifications to teach technology.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge and interest in film and video production, gaming, VR, or related areas.
