We offer varied and diverse work where the position includes flexible working hours and opportunities for wellness activities during the workday About the Department The Naval Shipyard's UW (Underwater Weapons) Department performs maintenance on existing underwater weapon systems and associated support systems in the Navy, which means work is performed on torpedoes, mines, and depth charges. These systems have complex support systems that require high expertise in electronics. The Naval Shipyard's UW Department consists of approximately 30 employees and is part of the Naval Shipyards with operations in central and southern Sweden. We are now seeking a mine technician in Skredsvik. Main Responsibilities Performing maintenance and overhaul on underwater weapon systems. As a technician, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing underwater weapon systems and associated equipment such as mines, depth charges, and sensors. The Naval Shipyard has operations at several locations in the country, which means frequent business travel. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications 3-year technical education with focus on electrical or vehicle technology Several years of experience in maintenance technical work Computer proficiency Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Class B driver's license (manual) Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is organized, methodical, and service-oriented. MERITORIOUS Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and materiel maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces Electronics knowledge and soft soldering certificate according to FSD5115 Experience handling the Swedish Armed Forces' accounting systems: LIFT, Prio, etc. Class C driver's license Forklift certification IFTEX (handling of explosive goods) Other Information Employment type: Permanent position, full-time.
