Have you worked as a Technical Manager in road and ground work and want to drive technology in projects that shape northern Sweden's infrastructure and green transition? At AFRY in Skellefteå, you'll become a key person who leads project engineering technically – close to both colleagues and clients. About the role As Technical Manager Road/Ground, you lead project engineering technically in both single and multidisciplinary assignments of varying sizes, with government, municipal, and private clients. You plan and coordinate deliverables, resources, and technical solutions together with project managers and engineers, becoming a technical hub that others turn to. Work is supported by BIM, digital tools, and efficient workflows, and you contribute both to individual assignments and to technology development within the unit. You're involved from start to finish in projects – from early stages to final delivery. Summary of responsibilities: Coordinate and technically lead engineers in road, ground, and street design projects Plan and coordinate deliverables, resources, and technical solutions with project managers and engineers Work with BIM, digital tools, and efficient workflows – and support colleagues in assignments and technology development Contribute technical expertise to AMA texts Develop the unit's working methods in collaboration with colleagues nationally and internationally About you You are communicative both internally and externally and take responsibility for what you drive. We're looking for someone with Post-secondary education in ground, civil engineering, construction, or equivalent At least 3 years of experience in road, street, or ground work – including some time in the role of Technical Manager Experience with AMA, CAD, and BIM Strong skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written Meritorious Experience working as a consultant Experience with project management Familiarity with Novapoint, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or OpenRail Category B driver's license About AFRY AFRY is a leading European engineering, design, and consulting company with nearly 19,000 employees.
