Responsibilities Are you ready for a challenging and rewarding operational leadership role where no two days are the same? Do you want to lead a team that works to create conditions for activity and get our city moving? Then the position as team leader at our Sports Halls Unit might be the right one for you. At the Sports Halls Unit, we work with the customer in focus in a dynamic operation, filled with energy and movement. We are now looking for an engaged team leader who is passionate about creating good conditions for our employees to deliver excellent service and a quality experience for everyone who visits our facilities, such as students, sports organizations, and other visitors from the general public. As a team leader, you are responsible, in consultation with the unit manager, for the daily operational work in six staffed halls. You have a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and a high level of service for our visitors, where you manage an engaged team of approximately 18 committed employees as well as a number of hourly temporary staff. The role also includes, when needed and during certain periods, participating in operational work, for example during high workload, ongoing projects, or to support specific work tasks. You will have the opportunity to work broadly and flexibly with tasks that may develop over time. You report to the unit manager and collaborate with the three other team leaders in the Sports Halls Unit. Your main areas of responsibility will include: • Personnel management and administration – for example, scheduling, personnel administration, and support for your employees. • Operations and development – responsibility for the staffed facilities, contact with organizations and stakeholders, and ensuring that our halls function optimally. Participates as a representative of the unit together with the manager in external contacts. • Planning of operations – supports the unit manager in planning operations, communicates internal and external information to employees and visitors, and handles supervision and preparations for events in consultation with our Association Support department. • Recruitment – involved in recruiting our temporary staff and has overall responsibility for introductions of new personnel. • Development and projects – participates in and drives development work and projects based on operational needs. Working hours are mainly scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours are applied. Work is underway to review the team leader role so we work equitably across the entire administration. Therefore, the content of the position may be adjusted somewhat over time. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education. You have experience in personnel management and are comfortable leading groups, or you have experience of similar operations and understanding of operational issues. We see that you have experience in administrative work, such as scheduling, personnel administration, contracts, orders, and procurement processes. The role requires that you have good computer skills and experience with digital system support, as well as a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. A B-driver's license is required to be able to travel between our halls. It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in public health, administration, or leadership, or other education relevant to the field. It is also advantageous if you have experience in budget work and financial administration. We would prefer that you have knowledge of facility maintenance. If you have experience with our systems Personec, ILOQ, and Proceedo, that is advantageous. You are organized and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize. You can manage multiple priorities at once, make independent prioritizations, and remain calm when the pace is high. You have the ability to switch between an operational and strategic perspective, can handle what needs to be solved here and now, and see the long-term needs of the operation. You take initiative, drive issues forward, and actively seek solutions when new situations arise. As a leader, you are confident, clear, and coaching, and you see the importance of close leadership for the operation to function at its best. You create engagement, collaborate well, and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation. You dare to make decisions and set direction when the situation demands it.
