Norrlands Akademiska Tandvård (NAT) is a base unit where general dentistry, specialist dentistry, clinical education and research meet in a shared structure. The operation is run in close collaboration between Folktandvården in Region Västerbotten and the Department of Odontology at Umeå University.
Within NAT, an academic and development-oriented environment is created where care, education and learning are a natural part of everyday work. Different professions collaborate closely here with a shared focus on high quality, sustainable skills supply and good patient care.
General Dentistry NAT is a central part of this operation, a place where clinical work, education and cooperation with specialist dentistry meet in practice. General dentistry is provided for both children and adults, while the operation is an important learning environment for students in dental surgeon, dental hygienist and dental nurse programs.
We are seeking a dental assistant for General Dentistry NAT. The operation is under development, which gives you a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping work methods, teams and culture.
You will be part of an operation with clear assignments, shared planning and great focus on development, collaboration and learning in everyday work. WORK TASKS
As a dental assistant with us, you provide important service and enable initiatives that make a difference for others.
We offer a varied and developmental job that mainly consists of practical work tasks, though some administrative tasks may also be relevant. You will primarily work with sterilization and care of staff facilities. The work may also involve assisting in reception with occasional administrative tasks.
You will initially work under supervision and gradually become more independent. Depending on your qualifications, other work tasks may also be relevant, for example assisting dentists in dental treatment. Here you will work both independently and together with others in the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a high school diploma. If you have prior experience from healthcare, elderly care or dentistry, we see that as a merit.
Good computer skills are desirable. You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible and can work independently, take your own initiative and have good teamwork abilities. You can also organize and structure your work efficiently. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Duration: Indefinite, start date: According to agreement.
