About the Role
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for driving and supporting recruitment processes from needs analysis through hiring. The role involves close collaboration with recruiting managers, where you serve as both an expert resource, advisor, and strategic partner in recruitment efforts. You will work to understand business needs, attract the right candidates, and ensure a professional and efficient recruitment process.
Responsibilities
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the defense industry, you will work closely with recruiting managers and support them throughout the entire recruitment process, from needs analysis to placement. You will function as a consulting partner and sounding board on matters related to talent planning, recruitment strategy, and selection processes. In this role, you are responsible for creating and posting attractive job listings, conducting phone interviews and candidate assessments, and coordinating and conducting interviews with prospective candidates.
You will ensure that the recruitment process maintains high quality by handling necessary security clearances and creating a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the process. An important part of the work is also building long-term relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders, as well as proactively conducting talent sourcing and building candidate networks for future recruitment needs.
Beyond the operational recruitment work, you will contribute by providing training, guidance, and support to managers on recruitment-related matters to ensure effective, business-focused, and high-quality hires. The role requires a consulting approach, a good understanding of business needs, and the ability to build trust with both managers and candidates.
