About the Position
Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in their daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The client is a 78-year-old man who lives with his wife in Vendelsö. He has been granted 24-hour personal assistance and speaks only Greek and Turkish. The client's individual needs drive the workday. Work tasks may include helping with transfers, personal care and communication, as well as support with everyday chores and activities, mostly indoors.
Who Are You?
The role of personal assistant requires a high ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client.
For this position, you must:
have previous experience in a healthcare profession
have good knowledge of Greek or Turkish
have good knowledge of Swedish
have good physical ability and be comfortable supporting the client with transfers.
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary
This is an hourly position with work as needed and varying working hours. Work shifts may be scheduled for day, evening, and night:
Daytime: 08.00–16.00
Evening/Night: 16.00–08.00, including 8 hours on-call
Weekends: 24-hour shifts 16.00–16.00, including on-call
Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
Start Date: October 1, 2026 or by agreement.
