Strategy and Planning Traffic and Society is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. Our department has approximately 130 employees. Our mission is to develop and operate sustainable transportation for a growing Uppsala County. We develop both infrastructure and general and specialized public transportation within the county. You are an important resource for the department, working toward our Service Transportation operations, which is responsible for quality and development of services such as demand-responsive transport, medical transport, school transport, and care transport. Our Operations The position is placed in the Governance and Quality Unit, within the Governance and Development Department. The unit is responsible for developing our capabilities in operational governance, quality, collaboration with universities and industry organizations, data and analysis, and security and civil preparedness. The unit works cross-functionally and in close cooperation with other departments. Your Assignment You will be the central hub for IT matters in the Service Transportation Department, which is responsible for quality and development of services such as demand-responsive transport, medical transport, school transport, and care transport. Starting in November, the operations will expand as Region Uppsala takes over responsibility for specialized passenger transport from Uppsala Municipality, which will require a present and service-oriented systems administrator who can support employees with matters such as computers, IT systems, phones, etc. In your work, you will be an important link between the operations and the region's central IT department regarding system integrations and architecture. You will need to be on-site initially to capture questions and needs from users on location; after that, some of the work can be done remotely. Work Tasks: • Manage files, directories, and paths. • Administer AD groups and access rights. • Support and maintain integrations between different IT systems. • Develop and update clear instructions, guidelines, and documentation. • Assist with error reports to system vendors when technical IT expertise is required. • Collaborate with the region's central IT department on matters concerning IT architecture, integrations, and technical solutions. Your Qualifications Upper secondary education with a focus on IT or work experience that we consider equivalent. Your Competencies The role requires a technical background and the ability to describe and analyze problems from a technical perspective. • Good understanding of IT-related terminology and working methods. • Knowledge of installations, file management, and paths. • Experience in systems administration and preferably broad system knowledge. • Understanding of integrations between different IT systems. • Ability to create clear instructions and user documentation. • Experience administering and following up on AD groups and access rights.
