Assignment: System Engineer About the Assignment We are seeking an experienced system engineer for our client, a company in the defense industry, to work in the field of naval command and control systems. The role involves working with advanced and complex naval command and control systems used on, among others, surface vessels and submarines. The systems compile information from sensors, data links, and weapon systems to provide the operator with the best possible decision support. Responsibilities As a system engineer, you have a central role in the system work and work with analyzing customer requirements and needs and translating these into clear and feasible system requirements. You work with requirements decomposition and contribute to system design and architecture. The requirements then form the basis for the development departments' implementation in hardware and software. The work takes place in close collaboration with other technical expertise within the project and organization. For those with the right experience and ambition, there is also an opportunity to take greater responsibility in technical leadership. Requirements Experience with requirements work and software development in complex technical systems Experience with system design, system architecture, and/or technical leadership Meritorious Experience with verification and testing at the system level Higher technical education Experience in programming, computer architecture, operating systems, or IT security Experience from naval systems or naval operations within the defense sector Personal Qualities As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and engaged. You have the ability to understand complex technical contexts, identify effective solutions, and are open to trying new ways of working. The role involves many points of contact, which makes it important that you can communicate and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to prevent and resolve technical challenges. You thrive working in a team while having the ability to independently drive your tasks forward. Scope and Location The placement location is Järfälla/Solna. The position is subject to security clearance and requires that the candidate undergoes and is approved according to applicable security clearance regulations at any time.
