Swedish Motorsports Association is in an exciting development phase where financial management, long-term sustainability, and strategic leadership are crucial for our continued growth. We are therefore seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who wants to be a key person in our management team and contribute to developing Swedish Motorsports for the future. Swedish Motorsports Association operates extensive activities with financing from member fees, commercial partnerships, subsidiary operations, as well as national and international development projects. To continue developing Swedish Motorsports, we are now seeking a CFO who sees finance as a strategic tool for growth, sustainability, and member benefit. About the Role As CFO, you have overall responsibility for Swedish Motorsports Association's financial management and financial development. The role is significantly broader than traditional financial administration and means you are a partner to the Secretary General, management team, and Federation Board. You are responsible for creating financial conditions that enable a long-term sustainable federation with high transparency, good internal control, and well-founded decision-making documentation. The position may include assignments and financial responsibility for subsidiaries that are wholly or partially owned by Swedish Motorsports Association. We are not just seeking a financial administrator – we are seeking a strategic financial leader. Your Main Areas of Responsibility In your role as CFO, you will, among other things: • Lead and further develop Swedish Motorsports Association's financial management • Be responsible for budget processes, business planning, forecasts, and financial monitoring • Ensure quality in ongoing accounting, financial statements, annual reports, and other financial reporting • Develop internal control systems, management models, and financial processes • Be responsible for liquidity planning, financing, and financial risk management • Identify and analyze financial risks and propose measures • Ensure compliance with legislation, accounting regulations, tax rules, and grant conditions • Prepare qualified decision-making documentation for investments, organizational changes, and other strategic decisions • Develop financial analyses, key performance indicators, and monitoring models that strengthen organizational management • Coordinate financial matters between the federation and its subsidiaries as well as external partners • Be responsible for financial management, monitoring, and quality assurance of projects financed through, among others, Swedish Sports Confederation (RF), Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), public grants, and other national and international funders • Ensure that conditions for grants, project funds, and external financing are met and develop procedures for effective monitoring and reporting • Contribute to identifying and developing new financing opportunities through projects, development funds, and external partnerships We Are Looking for You We seek a confident and experienced financial leader with a genuine interest in business development and financial management. We would like to see that you have experience in financial management within organizations where external financing, project funds, and grant-financed activities form an important part of the organization's long-term development. We believe you have: • An academic degree in finance/economics • Several years of experience in qualified financial leadership, preferably as a CFO or similar position • Excellent knowledge of financial management, accounting, budgeting, financing, and internal control • Experience working strategically with business development • Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting and relevant legislation • Strong English language skills, both spoken and written Meritorious Experience It is particularly meritorious if you have experience with: • Work within the sports movement or other member-governed organization • Finance in organizations with both non-profit operations, federation operations, and corporations • Publicly financed activities and grant management • Group-like financial structures or multiple legal entities • Financial management, reporting, and monitoring of projects financed by, for example, Swedish Sports Confederation (RF), FIA, EU programs, or other national and international funders • Working with grant-financed activities and development projects Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we believe you are: • Analytical and future-oriented • Structured with high integrity • Unpretentious and collaboration-oriented • Communicative and pedagogical • Confident in making decisions and building trust in complex organizations What We Offer At Swedish Motorsports Association, you have the opportunity to work in an organization with strong commitment, high ambitions, and an important role in Swedish sports.
