About the Position The work involves securing cargo on ships – a physical job performed outdoors. The work takes place at heights, which places high demands on both safety consciousness and attention to detail. This is a full-time consultant position. Flexibility is important in this role, as working hours can vary and sometimes change with short notice. You therefore need to be prepared to work different shifts from week to week, as we do not have a fixed rotating schedule. Working hours vary, and all types of shifts occur—daytime, evening, night, and weekend work. About You We are looking for someone who is self-assured, responsible, and enjoys teamwork. Communication primarily occurs via radio, which requires clear communication skills in Swedish. The company works extensively with global customers, which means customer contact in English is common. You handle stress and maintain focus even in pressured situations, as work can sometimes occur under time constraints. Requirements for the position: - You have at least one year of continuous work experience. - You have complete upper secondary school grades. - You are fluent in Swedish. - You hold a category B driver's license. - You have good physical fitness and can work at heights. Experience in terminal and/or port work, as well as an interest in logistics and shipping, is considered a merit but is not required. Prior to any employment, Gothenburg Port also conducts a security clearance.
