Do you want to be part of developing the future of IT support in Eskilstuna kommun? We are now seeking a Support Manager for our IT operations. This is a new role created to strengthen quality, improve coordination, and develop our internal working methods. You will have a key role in ensuring that our services maintain high quality and that the support organization has the right conditions to meet the business needs. You will work closely with the unit manager, service manager, and other roles within our ITIL and PM3 processes. Together, you will contribute to creating a stable, secure, and business-focused IT environment that makes a difference for the municipality's operations. WORK TASKS As Support Manager, you are an important link between the unit manager, the support organization, and other IT and municipal functions. You have no personnel responsibility but function as operational support and a natural leader in day-to-day work. You are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and following up on support operations so that resources are used optimally and service maintains high quality. Together with the unit manager, you work with resource planning, scheduling, and development of working methods within the support organization. You coach and support first- and second-line support staff, lead daily forums and coordination meetings, and also coordinate work during major incidents and disruptions. The role involves significant responsibility for creating structure, clarity, and good communication. Work is primarily conducted on-site in Eskilstuna. Physical presence is important to support operations and create good collaboration within the team. QUALIFICATIONS We are now looking for someone with at least two years of experience from a support function and who thrives in a role where you can combine technology, coordination, and leadership. You have solid experience in technical troubleshooting within IT and also possess knowledge and experience working with ISO 27001. Fundamentally, you have good knowledge of ITIL processes, and if you also have post-secondary education in IT and experience working with statistics, that will be considered a merit. We would like to see that you have some form of leadership experience. Perhaps you currently work as a team leader, supervisor, support manager, or senior support technician with experience coaching colleagues and coordinating daily work. To succeed in the role, you need to be well-organized, communicative, and have good ability to prioritize. You are confident in making decisions, even when circumstances change quickly. At the same time, you have a coaching approach and build trusting relationships with both colleagues and the business. We particularly value that you have an analytical and solution-oriented working method, can see the bigger picture, and have the ability to get people to work toward common goals.
