JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for a study coordinator in Swahili for Murgårdsskolan and Björksätraskolan. Murgårdsskolan is a grades 3-9 school in central Sandviken with proximity and access to both cultural and sports activities. Björksätraskolan is a preschool-grade 9 school located in the middle of the Björksätra district. Within walking distance there is both forest and nature as well as Göransson Arena, BJ Arena and Parkbadet. As a study coordinator, you work at the school to mentor students whose native language is Swahili, by supporting, encouraging and motivating students in their learning. The role also requires close collaboration with teaching staff, and you will also be in contact with guardians. You contribute by: • adapting instruction to students' needs • creating a safe and inclusive learning environment • collaborating with students, guardians and school staff • using digital tools in instruction We make each other better by: • sharing knowledge and experience • supporting each other in our professional role • contributing to a positive and open work environment QUALIFICATIONS To thrive in this role, it is important that you have the ability to support, encourage and motivate students in their learning. Warm and attentive communication makes it easy to build trust and create safe instruction. Curiosity, collaboration and an inclusive approach contribute to students having good opportunities to develop and to us making each other better. The role also requires close collaboration with teaching staff, and you will also be in contact with guardians. Does this position sound interesting? We're looking for someone who recognizes themselves in the following: • You have education as a study coordinator or other equivalent education • You are a clear leader and adult role model for students • You can collaborate, build good relationships and are clear in your dialogue with students, guardians and your colleagues • You have the ability to start from each student's needs and conditions • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have experience working with language-developing work methods.
