We are now seeking an academic and career counselor for Vägga Gymnasium. We welcome your application! Job Responsibilities As an academic and career counselor, you will focus on counseling, either in individual meetings or in groups, as well as managing study plans in the national programs. Your responsibilities include conducting individual counseling sessions. You will also work to stimulate students' own initiative in researching and exploring alternatives to make well-informed choices. You will plan and find solutions for individual students as well as initiate and plan activities that concern all of the school's students. You will also collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate academic and career counseling into the gymnasium's subjects and courses, thereby contributing to the school's development. The gymnasium's students form a very heterogeneous group with different backgrounds, conditions, and experiences. An important part of your work will be to work flexibly and in a way tailored to each student's conditions and needs. Requirements for the Position: Academic and Career Counselor degree Strong ability to work in various digital systems Strong ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish Merits for the Position: Experience working as an academic and career counselor in a gymnasium Personal Qualities: We are looking for someone who is outgoing, flexible, and positive.
