Job Description We are seeking a full-time career and educational counselor. Your responsibilities will include career and educational guidance for students and collaboration with parents and school staff. Your work will involve guiding and informing our students individually and in groups regarding upcoming educational and career choices. You will also manage administrative tasks related to upper secondary school applications and plan and follow up on work experience placements. Working together with educators and Bergsjö School's student health team, you will promote and prevent issues to improve student wellbeing and increase goal achievement for all students. You will also provide support to staff at other schools in the municipality regarding education and working life matters, and work to expand collaboration with the business and industry sector. You are also responsible for revising the municipality's career and educational guidance plan. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a career and educational counselor and who: Has the ability to motivate students and create a safe and educational school environment. Has high expectations for students and wants them to succeed. Has strong ability to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Has the desire and commitment to develop career and educational guidance work in the municipality and at Bergsjö School. Personal Qualities Great importance is placed on personal suitability, where independence, professional competence, ability to collaborate, and flexibility are key. It is also important that you enjoy working in a team, have a positive approach, are communicative, and have a clear student-centered perspective. Meritorious Experience with similar work.
