We are now recruiting a study and career counselor for a temporary position at KTH – we warmly welcome your application! Duties In this role, you will provide study and career guidance to students and handle, coordinate, follow up on, and develop support for students with specific pedagogical needs. Examples of duties: Provide study and career guidance to students at all educational levels via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Conduct seminars and workshops for national and international students. Participate in educational fairs and organize various events. Handle compensatory support that students receive. Coordinate and follow up on compensatory support measures. Coordinate and develop work areas and projects. Periodically inform and educate students within the student union. As well as other tasks within the unit and group. About the Department/Group As a study and career counselor, you will be part of a group of 10 people within the Student Services unit, which is part of Educational Support. We are part of operations support and are located in bright premises on the KTH campus at Valhallavägen. Qualifications Requirements Study and career guidance degree or equivalent as assessed as relevant by the employer At least two years of current professional experience as a study and career counselor. You must have experience with case handling. Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing as these are used in daily work. Personal Qualities We seek someone who sees opportunities rather than obstacles and is curious and flexible in your work approach. You adapt easily to changing circumstances. Since you will be conducting information sessions and workshops, you have strong communication skills and are comfortable speaking to groups. You have good self-management skills and work independently. We also value strong teamwork abilities, as this is essential for us to collectively provide excellent service and support. Meriting Factors Experience working in higher education/university or equivalent as assessed as relevant by the employer. Experience driving or working on projects.
