The Student Affairs Office is part of the university administration with the mission to provide support and services to students and manage student matters. The Student Affairs Office also provides operational support and advice to departments and university leadership. The office has approximately 140 employees and operations are conducted in the Student House on the university campus. In this position, you will work within the Section for Guidance and Internationalization, specifically in the Study and Career Guidance and Alumni Coordination group, which consists of nine people. The group's primary mission is to offer study and career guidance and relevant study information to prospective and current students. Activities include individual guidance, organizing career events, participating in recruitment and information activities, and offering professional development to departmental advisors. The group is also responsible for coordinating the university's alumni activities. More information about us can be found at: Studentavdelningen. Main Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide qualified individual guidance to prospective and current students on matters related to studies and work/career, and to organize and lead career activities, workshops, seminars, etc. for groups of current students. The role also includes participating in various information and recruitment activities targeting audiences outside the university. Qualifications We are seeking someone with an academic degree in study and career guidance or equivalent experience in study and career guidance. It is a merit if you have experience in study and career guidance at a college or university. It is an advantage if you have experience planning and conducting career-related activities in both Swedish and English. Personal Qualities You are a self-motivated person who can take on significant responsibility and has strong collaboration skills. You have well-developed customer service and communication skills and experience conducting individual conversations as a tool. You have a talent for conveying information and feel confident presenting to both small and large groups in both Swedish and English. You are thorough, organized, and have strong communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You are experienced with the Microsoft Office suite. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. About the Position This is a full-time position with a fixed term through October 2027. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting.
