We are now looking for you to join us at Internationella Engelska Skolan in Johanneberg as a student assistant (classroom assistant) in grades 4-5. What distinguishes this role is that you do not focus on any single student; rather, you are present in the classroom as support for students who need it. We are looking for someone who is engaged and has relevant experience. You have the ability to adapt your approach and teaching methods based on students' varying needs. It is important that you are unpretentious, flexible, and comfortable in a changing environment. You are well versed in the school's governing documents and always keep student wellbeing in focus. You plan and organize your work efficiently and are committed to building and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a student assistant with us, you work in close collaboration with the responsible primary school teacher and special educators. You work with students who need extra support to follow the instruction. Your main responsibilities therefore involve helping students keep up with teaching and assisting them in finding focus in their studies. Beyond that, your tasks may also include helping students practice various daily activities, providing support for students during breaks and on field trips. The position is full-time through the end of fall 2026 with potential for extension. Start date: as soon as possible. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.
