About Us Department 58 is Region Blekinge's stroke unit, which means the department is responsible for responding to brain-saving alerts in eastern Blekinge and performing thrombolytic treatments. The goal is for all patients with acute stroke to receive care at Department 58. The department has 14 regular care beds for acute stroke care and, when space permits, also patients with other neurological diseases. Currently, the department is divided into two care teams. The expertise of the interprofessional team is important for our patients, and every day we hold team conferences (pulse rounds) together with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, in addition to medical rounds. About the Job The Medical Clinic is developing stroke care and is seeking a stroke nurse who wants to be part of this work. The position initially comprises 50% as a stroke nurse and 50% as a nurse at Department 58. You will be introduced to the department's work and mission, and training as a thrombolytic nurse is also included. As a stroke nurse, your work will include: Training nursing assistants and nurses on the department in basic care Training new thrombolytic nurses Being part of the department's ongoing work within knowledge management Being part of adapting patient information for our patients on 1177 Being part of the work with the quality register RiksStroke About You We are looking for a licensed nurse who is interested in development work. If you have previous experience in stroke care and development work, that is an advantage. As a person, you are attentive and communicative. You are confident in your role as a nurse, work independently, and have good collaborative skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Regarding Appointment Region Blekinge war-places all permanent employees. Some of our positions are security-classified where the employee must undergo a security vetting interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
